The first episode of MBTV- the Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce’s new news magazine television program, produced by the Birmingham video production company Vulcan Media, is up and running on Charter Cable and online at www.MBTVonline.com.
The first episode premiered this month on Charter Cable Channel 10 and will be rerun periodically over the next few months. New episodes will be produced quarterly.
The first episode is available here.
The program is a joint production of the chamber and the video production company Vulcan Media. MBTV’s format features business and community information about Mountain Brook.
“This is truly a first-of-its-kind community news program, and we’re honored to produce the show for the Mountain Brook Chamber,” said Vulcan Media owner Scott Mauldin.
Channel 10 is a public access channel, which provides programming generated by the city government and local school board.
Scott Mauldin, of Vulcan Media and a former NBC 13 reporter, said each program will showcase different aspects of the community, in a news magazine-style show.
Local business profiles, current events, interesting personalities and local history will be featured. Chamber Executive Director Suzan Doidge said she hopes it will be enjoyed not only by residents locally but Mountain Brook natives who have moved away but wish to keep up with their hometown.
